“I’m Latina, and may have PCOS, which accounts for the hairiness. I weigh 230 pounds and am only 5’4” (39.5 BMI) and it was INCREDIBLY difficult not to suck in my stomach for these pictures.  Thank you so much for your site.  It’s so amazing to see all these different bellies, all celebrated and (I hope) loved.  I submit my photos in the hope that someone else who’s maybe “obese” or “hairy” can see that something that looks like their belly is there too!”

    great post =)

  4. Drew

lose weight. You are almost certain to have illnesses if you continue to eat too much.

@Drew That comment…was so insightful. I am sure she has been just waiting for someone, anyone to tell her that. I am positive she has never heard it, nor thought it herself. I am sure you know everything about her lifestyle and ability to make consistently healthy choices for herself all the time. I am positive that she couldn’t possibly live in a food desert that wouldn’t allow her to eat healthfully on whatever her food budget may be. I am sure she must live in a safe neighborhood with community resources to allow her to exercise regularly, or an adequate income to afford a swanky gym with a personal trainer to help her maximize her exercise time and teach her the right ways to exercise. I am sure, furthermore, that you know all this about her and therefore are the right person to make such a judgement of her. I mean, I don’t know her, nor do I know whether anything of what I have mentioned is true or not, but then I am not delivering judgement on her either. Especially on a site that is supposed to help women learn not to loathe themselves because they are self conscious about their bodies.

@ Alex Some guys actually like a woman to be natural and hairy. I luv her hairy belly its so sexy. And luv her BBW tummy so cute! How can I contact her??

I have pcos and my belly is similar to yours.losing that belly weight is hard.I’m 25 now and was diagnosed 9 years ago.i like your belly btw so ignore the haters

  8. ml

Do you have a post Kelsey?

  9. Alex

@ml my post was toward Drew, who was being nasty to the poster above.

I agree with ml, I like her cute little belly and her fur. also I am sick to death of how society has put so much pressure on women to be a certain size or shape or weight. I think and I am sure a lot of other guy’s think as well, that is the differences that define beauty not the similarities!! Different is good and sexy!! If your doctor tells you to loose weight ok. but if not don’t sweat it, You are you and be proud to be unique its a good thing!!

My daughter suffers with the same illness, trips to ER, pre diabetic meds, waxings, She has worked very hard to get to 250 from 350. She is still my girly and as beautiful as you. Oxoxox

I’m so glad you put this up. I’m so self conscious about having a little more hair than woman normally do. I’m constantly shaving and waxing everything. I always thought I was the only one with this problem… like there was something really wrong with me. . you made me feel like I’m not alone… thank you again 😀

  13. I am 45 years old and ai am also latina, I have to wonderful children and I have had a stillborn plus I aslo had… I have noticed since I stop smoking that I eat.. I have gained so much weight… maybe we can lose the weight together. I am trying…. good luck….

I’m 29 and have a similar belly to that, doctors suspect I have PCOS but I haven’t been given a definitive diagnosis. I have a family history of diabetes and heart disease and i want to lose weight before I hit my 30s. Thank you for sharing your photos. Sometimes I look at myself and am so disgusted, I curl up in despair and tell myself that I am the only one in the world that looks like I do and that I am unworthy of love or life. This project is great – it helps us know we are not alone and that there is more to life than the way you look. That you can be happy and live life to the fullest regardless of what your self-esteem tells you.

@Drew. If you will research PCOS women tend to gain weight easily and have a VERY hard time losing it. Its a hormone imbalance, hence the belly hair. Trust me I know, I have PCOS myself.

  16. Emma

Thank you so much for being brave enough to put up this picture. I’m 16 and was diagnosed with PCOS two years ago. I’ve been on birth control to help with the PCOS symptoms but PCOS plus the pill has made losing weight and keeping it off the most difficult thing in my life. The teenagers on here all have flat, hairless bellies which made me even more self-conscious. This helped me feel less alone.

  17. Skyler

I have extra belly hair and was very self conscious about it. It is very relieving to know I not the only girl out there, along with other girls that suffer from this. Thank you for being so brave and showing other girls that its ok to be who you are and still beautiful!

  18. Blair

I have PCOS too! And my belly is just as hairy. PCOS sucks and is super hard to lose weight and the excessive hair on practically every inch of your body blows even more.

  19. Miguel

Looove the natural hairy on belly!

  20. Nettaya

Have you check about a hormonal imbalance. Like Cushing disease?

  21. Dan

It’s a beautiful belly! I love rpund and a bit of hair on the belly!
