like a beautiful Tibetan face! Full of love and a soft place to come home to!

My stomach looks just the same. I was surprised, after all these slim flat bellies, to see one that looked like mine.

I’m so sorry for the suffering and trauma you had to go through to earn these scars.

I agree with Holly. When I first heard about the “Belly Project” I was looking forward to viewing it. I thought that the purpose of the project was to encourage women to enjoy and feel good about their bellies! Too bad, most of the “bellies” featured are pretty awesome! As a woman who’s in her 40’s and has had a twin pregnancy and a single pregnancy I’d take any one of these bellies. Really? Aren’t there other more “relatable” bellies out there?

That’s not suffering and trauma dear… It’s well earned battle scars! You are the baddest chick in the war of life and you rock!! I really think that in the jr high health class they should make a point to show the beauty that comes after the blessing of giving life!!!!

  5. This is what my belly looks like. One pregnancy, one 12 lb baby. I was terrified of what my body would look like after the baby and now I have a one year old and a belly that is soft and stretched and, yes, hangs a bit. You know what? I never think about it. It’s my body and it’s done what it was asked to do. I love myself top to bottom. I hope that the woman in this picture appreciates her body too. If you think about it, it really is amazing.

  6. Great common sense here. Wish I’d thuhogt of that.

  7. I have a 9 year old son,and my stomach never went back to it’s normal size after birth. My OBGYN doctor said he did a small incision under my navel,I want to know why my belly is so big?
